Amazon is an online shopping company founded in 1994. It is based in Seattle, Washington and has more than 540,000 employees worldwide. It is the largest internet company by revenue and the fourth most valuable public company in the world. It started as an online bookstore and later diversified to sell electronics, cell phones, software, video games, jewelry and other. The Amazon.com website has approximately 300 million users and 30 million average monthly users for the Amazon mobile app. Amazon is America’s favourite mall as 80% of Amazon US costumers purchase from it at least once a month.

Wal-Mart:

Walmart is an American retail corporation founded in 1962 and the first store opened in Rogers, Arkansas. It is a chain of hypermarkets, grocery stores and has almost 11,700 stores in 28 countries, 4,500 of which are in the US. It is the largest company by revenue and the largest private employer in the world with 2,3 million employees. With approximately 60 million items for sale on their website and 20 million weekly consumers Walmart is one of the biggest retailers in the world.

Macy’s:

Macy’s Inc. founded in 1858 and owns macys.com and bloomingdales.com and bluemercury.com. It has over 700 department stores and 160 specialty stores in US, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Guam and it sells clothes, shoes, accessories and jewelry. With almost $28.8 billion fiscal sales in 2016 and approximately 140,000 employees it is considered as a leading retailer in the US. Macy’s was the largest US department store by retail sales in 2015 and the 15th largest US retailer by revenue in 2014.

Mattel:

Mattel is an American toy company founded in 1945. They sold picture frames but now they sell a great variety of toys, clothes and accessories. Mattel’s Headquarters are in El Segundo, California and has almost 32,000 employees. The company has presence in 40 countries and sell toys in more than 150 countries. It is the world’s largest toy maker by revenue with almost $5.5 billion revenue in 2016 and in 2014 it ranked #403 on the Fortune 500 list.

Under Armour is an American that manufactures and distributes footwear, sports and accessories. It was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland and it has over 11,000 employees. Under Armour was ranked 3rd among the top 50 sporting goods brands in 2014 and ranked 4th in the top 5 most valuable sports business brands worldwide in 2016. In 2015, the revenue was $3.96 billion and increased 25% to $4.95 billion in 2016.

Sears Holding Corporation is a retail company in America. It was founded in 2005 and the headquarters are in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The company operates almost 1,500 department and specialty stores under the mastheads of Sears, Kmart and their subsidiaries. With 140,000 employees and $22.1 billion revenue in 2016 it is considered as a leading retail company in the US. In 2014 ranked as the 18th largest retailing company in the United States.
